Default Many questions from a newbie...

Hello all,

I have been reading this forum for a while, and now I am getting ready to buy a 2010 Outlander XLS with Navigation.

I have a couple of questions (please point me into the right direction if they are repeats!):
- where could I download the users manual of the 2010 Outlander to get a feel for the various functions in detail?
- how does the power mirror movement work? Is it automatically moving down when the car is in reverse? Is it automatically folding / unfolding when the car is parked?
- I am in the Toronto area: any recommendations for a dealer with good pricing?
- Is the a "sport" mode in the automatic transmission?
- I am aware that the sound system is quite loud if necessary - but does it have nice (crystal clear) sound, stereo imaging etc. lets say for classical music?

Thank you very much for your advice

I don't have a 2010 but did quite a bit of research on it:

- The Canadian 2010 XLS has the S-AWC system and colour display that the GT has in the USA (the US XLS does not have S-AWC, not sure about colour display)
- Only Europe gets folding mirrors, I believe no move down unless you buy a Japanese addon
- The S-AWC system has a Tarmac setting, which increases performance by allowing you to take corners faster using torque vectoring...it gets the Outlander to near BMW X6 M/above Mercedes C class performance in slalom tests. You can shift by yourself using paddles/gearshift...I don't know if the S-AWC settings change gear mapping.
- Sound system is pretty good. There is a classical music setting which does make music very clear and crisp. However, other settings really focus on bass.

Manual for 2007-2009 is available here:

It's pretty much the same minus a few features.

Welcome to forum. In world, reverse mirror isn't equipment standar/optional; foldin/unfolding exterior mirrors only available a few markets (sorry, not in América). But, I have both functions in the mine, so, you can obtain its too.
For reverse mirror look here

To obtain folding/unfolding function is necessary obtain new mirrors, new switch, run new wires, ETACS reprogram or buy interphase to "turn on" the function.

Saludos
