Default MMCS screen brocken - substitution?

Hi all,

my screen has some scratches, which results into not being usable anymore to control navigation, etc.

my dealer says, the only option to get this fixed is to substitude the whole unit, which is around 8000 EUR!

can someone here confirm this? Thought I bought a car and not a MMCS system on wheels....

really cannot believe, that this is the only solution!

apart from the screen, anything else works fine!

many thanks
Michael
