Default MMCS "stuck" on CAUTION screen

Hello everyone

I've been searching the forums and the web but haven't seen another user with the same problem. I have an Outlander XLS Luxury with the MMCS model as the below pic:

Name: Mitsubishi-Lancer-VRX-Sportback-MMCS-625x468_zpsa789f114.jpg

Yesterday I was using the Sat Nav function and the screen just froze (the touch screen stopped working). After switching the ignition off and on again, the MMCS now sits at the CAUTION screen. I can't click ACCEPT and the ONLY buttons that are working at the volume buttons. I also noticed that the phone and volume buttons on the steering wheel are also now not functioning.

Can I reset the unit? I don't have the SET/NAVI buttons like the older MMCS models, so I'm not sure how to attempt a service mode menu.

Any help is appreciated

Cheers,
Snoop

Might try disconnecting the ground cable on the battery and letting the vehicle sit for about 20 minutes or so. Sure, you will have to reset the clock and all your presets. But that might possibly work.

We are having the same issue in a 2010 challenger. Did you find a solution?

Tried that. Only difference is that instead of being stuck on one radio station, there is no radio, and cant fix radio etc as it is stuck on the caution screen and none of the buttons work.

I know this threads is a bit old (its now 24/5/2020) but as i had the exact issue that i managed to get fixed i couldn't just not put in how i fixed it. i tried multiple things including removal of the battery terminals to try and reset with no change. It did reset but only back to the same screen where i couldnt touch accept. I was beginning to lose hope of fixing it and thought at best it would be a touch screen replacement. So here goes....i started the car Mitsubishi asx aspire diesel 2010 model and while it was running i pulled the stereo fuse (for me it was number 7 located behind the glove box.) i did give the screen a bit of a tap while it had no power, not a bash but i did give it a firm tap.(probably because i was grumpy lol) put the fuse back in (15amp i think)(fuse was good) the mmcs did a reset and bingo it now seems to be working ok. hopefully it will last and i don't have to do this again.
