Default More Power

Has anyone had their 2.0 DiD chipped or tuned to get more power?

I'm considering this but can't find any reviews or comments from people that have had it done.

Don't have but I know some guys did the ecu remap and they notice some hp gain. Remap is much cheaper than using a tuning box.

well i can see a great deal of help has been happening since my enforced absence.

1) it depends, what your remap will cost you as to whether the HP "gain" will be worth it.

2) car's are shipped mapped from the factory somewhere between economy and performance.

3) dyno tuning is the only way to get it to peak HP.

4) sell your girly engine and buy something better:
there is no replacement for displacement. if it doesn't start with >4.0L , you're wasting your time and money.

To be fair I'm not actually after more power as such, I just want a bit more oomph lower down the rev range.

My previous car was a 2.2 Dci and the grunt started real low, whereas the unit in the Outlander doesn't really get going until it hits 2,000 rpm
