Default My 2016 Outlander Se tailgate won't lock

Doesn't matter how I lock it up, From inside button, Remote or even the door handle. every door locks but the tailgate. Of course I find this out while moving to Va for a while. Currently backing up to another car so that you can't lift the tailgate up.

Any help would be appreciated. I am hoping it is something I have done and don't have to drive to a dealer as I have no clue where one is around here.

Lock your vehicle then put your key away from your car, then walk up and try opening it. If the key is in range of the car, it will unlock the lift gate as soon as you press the pad to open it. If it still opens after having the key out of range of the car (10 feet or so) take it back to the dealer. It's covered under the warranty.

LOL, Yes this newbie owner found that out when I went to the dealer in MD, The service rep was great in showing me this info, But he did find a open recall and fixed that. Saw an immediate increase in my MPG.

Thank you for taking the time to help out though.

Wait, are you talking about CVT recall, or something else?

Yes, Not sure what it did, but I went from 28mpg (hwy) to the dealership to 34.5 coming home.

I like getting the 28pmg around town.
