PS: the Sorento is not a "bigger brother" to the Outlander. Its about the same size, and does not come with an option for 3rd row. It does look like a major improvent over the current Sorento, but it wouldnt take much. Its a P.O.S.!!!!!

guys i don't understand why you complain about the plastics in the Outlander. maybe you guys don't realize that it is mostly recycled plastic that forms the interior of the Outtie in efforts to be an eco-friendly vehicle.

if it weren't recycled plastic, then i would complain about it looking cheap!

tdford > 2010 version comes with 3rd row option and a comfy option and it is bigger then Outlander

Elisha > Personally, I don't care how the plastics look or if it's eco material, but I do care about its scratchability and in Outlander it's a big a problem. Even my cheaper 2008 Sentra has better plastics. Also, Outlander's dashboard could use a lot of improvement in terms of looks..

Nice car this Sorento. I would like to have in the Out:
- the panoramic sunroof, and
- START/STOP button,
by the others, I am very happy with my Outie. . .

Just did the comparison and it looks like this Sorento is pretty much the same size as Outlander as tdford said, I was just amazed that they fit real 3rd row seat while keeping the size of a crossover.

Sorento vs Outlander size
Length 184.45 inches vs 182.70 inches
Width 74.21 inches vs 70.90 inches
Height 67.32 inches vs 66.10 inches
Ground Clearance 7.24 vs 8.50 inches

14.1 km per liter. What does it convert to in gallons?

Can you stow away the full size 3rd row seat in the Sorento? The thing that I like with the Outlander is that I don't use the 3rd row all the time. I like the cargo space, and would ditch the 3rd row seat for cargo if I had to choose. But why choose when I have both options when I need it?

Who would want a 3rd row seat that is not stowable? If it does not stow then it's a minivan!
