RE: my stereo
akdenver,
Have you seen this?
http://www.pac-audio.com/swixprogram...les&ID=285
This is vehicle's main stereo harness (FEMALE). If you bought METRA harness for head unit (MALE), it does not have pins for contact numbers 22,32 shown on the picture at the above link. You should do everything exactly the guide tells. BUT! with the only one exception. Exchange pins numbers. IE what is to be connected to pin 22 should go to pin 32 instead, and vice versa.
Sorry, missed your last q. The reason i went for SWI-X is above mentioned link. So I know it must be working with outlander. Did not find anything lake that for other units.

RE: my stereo
Thank you, Hertz - that helped! Of course I got the custom wiring instructions from pac-audio, I just did not readthem correctly: I did not realize there are 2 wires going to the ground.
Btw I am using SWI-JACK and there are instructions for it and outlander as well. It also has a delaywhen you push a buttonbut not too bad.
I still did not figure out how to program the bluetooth phonebuttons - do you have an idea?
