Default Navigation System Address Problems

I have a 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander with Navigation (located in the United States). Sometimes, when entering an address, the system will display multiple streets for the same town. Does anyone else have this problem? How do I fix this? I've already entered the town so I should only be seeing one choice for this street.

For example, if you look at my attachment, I have already entered the town for the address and now I am entering the street name. The street name is Old Elm St and it lists "Old Elm St" and "Old Elm St Plymouth(Montgomery)" which I think are townships or something. The address is a valid postal code address so I should only have to choose Old Elm St but that doesn't always work. This has happened with other addresses as well. Any thoughts?

Thanks so much in advance! This has already caused me to be late for a meeting because I chose the wrong one.
