Yea they are priced to kill you. I got the warrenty for 5 years for like 450$. It covers tires and rims for something like 5000$ worth of coverage. Might not be correct numbers since I looked at it a year ago. But for the price of 1 rim, the warrenty is paid off.

In the UK/EU they are trying to pass a law that we most replace like with like (oem tires must be the same as supplied when the carwas new)when changing tires now. They say its a saftey issue due to cheap tires flooding in from eastern europe and to stop drivers getting part worn tires from scrap yards accident damaged cars.
