New outlander question
Hi, yesterday I got my Diamond White Pearl Outlander LS 4WD.
Dealer offered to buy a set of scuff plates, but specs said that door scuff plates are standard on all models.
I do not see any. Sorry, I know very little about cars. What is scuff plate, and if it is standard where are they???
Thank you.

The ones the dealer is offering you protect the painted surfaces on the doors and the tailgate, the ones that are standard are probably the plastic piece thats closest to you when sitting inside the vehicle.
My 2 cents, those metal scuff plates are mainly for aesthetic purposes only. But they really look good IMO. The plastic ones though are good enough for me, and I can see them really sratched after 6 months.
Scuff plates are the plastic part that are in the door jam. They also have an optional scuff plate that goes right next to them on the paint. Im pretty sure they have a picture of them on their outlander website under accessories. Also give the rear tail gate scuff plate a look.
