Default obd2 port

Hello . I have 2009 outlander ES model. Recently had a remote starter installed , and the first I have a check engine light come on, I tried to plug in my scanner , but the port is just laying
up inside the dash, The installer must have had it out of the slot , to connect a wire , but I don't know how it is suppose to be retained in the pocket. I don't know if he broke of some clips , or there is some kind of locking tabs missing.

Anyone one here know how to fix this?

Rick.

That port is very loose in our '10 XLS. It could very well start flopping around the next time I plug into it. I'd like to have a good fix for this, too.
