Default Oil Life Monitor

Some months ago I tried resetting my oil Life Monitor. First try I did not get it right so I tried again. On the second try nothing worked so I stopped by my dealer to have it checked out and they told me that since I did not do it right the first time, using the dash button will now no longer work and the Tech said he could set it but he has to set it using the engine bay computer hook up which he did and he set it correctly. Now I just changed my oil and I still cannot use the dash button will not work. I have 100 miles left on the monitor before it is timed out.. Anyone now how to get the dash button to work again ? When I try I get as far as the flashing wrench but that's it. I am wondering if I let the 100 miles run out maybe it might start working..Any thoughts ??

I turned it off and bought a roll of stickers from Amazon for ~$2. It’s way more reliable than messing with that thing.
