Color matching then is a good idea but you have to remember your painting hard plastic. The paint used to cover the metal on your outlander isnt made for this. Im sure it will hold for awhile but your going to have to do it right. Now the next topic. Your painting mud gaurds. Your putting a layer of paint on something that will be hit with alot of rocks and sticks. It will be facing a really harsh enviroment. Your probly going to be kicking yourself in the butt once the rocks start chipping your painted mud flaps. An idea could be to paint just the back of them? Hope your take into consideration all the damage the inside of your mudflaps will face before you paint them.
