Default Outlander 07 - fault code 21022

I have a 07 Outlander which has just started showing a 'ASC off - service required' warning. I have taken it to a friendly local garage that has run a diagnostic and come up with an error code of 21022.

Can anyone shed any light on this code - I note a similar plea went unanswered last May?

Grateful for any help - my local Mitsubishi dealer wants to charge me £50&VAT just to read the code!

Interesting, OBDII codes all start with a letter (P or C) then a 4 digits number.
Are you sure the mechanic sets his tools properly to OBDII or to the older OBDI.
I think the previous unanswered plea was also from the UK but I could be wrong.

For a start check all fuses in the car or under the Hood (Bonnet)
