Default Outlander 2006 MMCS Aerial location

Hi All.
First time here. We have just brought a 2006 outlander with a MMCS 01 in dash radio. I am in NZ and its a Japanese import. The Radio bandwidth is 10 mhz different in NZ so have got a band expander than moves the frequency 10 mhz so we get all the stations. So pulled the radio out and there appears to be no aerial plugged into the back of the radio. So can only guess there is a receiver somewhere else in the car where the aerial goes into first then gets converted to digital and transferred to the radio. I need the standard aerial connection to plug in my band expander.
Any guesses on where the best place to look for an aerial plug is ?
Car has the small aerial on the middle of the roof at the back. Thought I would ask before I start pulling the head lining out.
Cheers
Mark

Can you post a pic of the back of your radio? The antenna connector may be not the type you are used to.
