Default Outlander 2006 - Issue with MMCS not recording Cd's

Hi All
Starting a new thread as I can't find any others which reference this issue!
Use Giz-Tech Japanese to English conversion disk and worked fine.
Seen lots of old music from previous owner on the Musicserver, so deleted it all.
So musicserver screen was all greyed out
Then found when I loaded a new original shop CD in it, it would not record it anymore - got the message " Can not record". but was able to play the CD ok.
Tried few other original CD's and it would not record them, came up with the same message, but the CD played fine - So not a scratched CD, or ripped CD issue
Went through the manual and have deleted the memory as thought it could have been because it was full and this would be stopping it recording - Made no difference!
Done a reset and disconnected the car battery for more than 15 mins and it still won't record original CD's and comes up with same message.
Real pain having to manually insert the CD every time I want to listen to it!
Run out of options, so hoping some great people out there can give me some suggestions.
Thanks Kiwi Joe
