Default Outlander Feedback

I am the owner of an 08 Lancer, and love it.
I would like to purchase for my wife, an Outlander.
What are the pros and cons? I love the vehicle already
now I want to know what owners of it think.

We have a child so it must be friendly to carseats and fold up strollers.
Anyone with any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I would like to know any problems youve had not only
with the vehicle, but also with the company if any. Thanks

hey Brody,

I have a new born (3 weeks old) AND a 2 year old, and my 07 outlander is GREAT. Don't get one with optional 3rd row seating, its USELESS, and leaves no trunk space. (and more expensive for something you will find you will nto use...ever). a plus is if you get an entertainment center in there, but not necessary, i just bought DVD headrests for 599 from circuit city INCLUDING installation! We love our Outlander, and we would HIGHLY recommend it

Love it hands down, wouldnt trade it for anything else.

Im with Arshem ditch the 3rd row seating its a waste of money. More then anything it just isnt high enough quality to justify the cost, because of how compate they made the 3rd row seating it kind bounces and stuff when its in use and it just inst comfortable. On top of everything else like Arshem said there's no storage space when its in use.

The second row seats have the clip ins for a car seat. I have the Chicco 30 for my 4 month old and it secures it very well. Stroller wise we have the massive 4w4 version of the chicco that the car seat drops into; fits great in the trunk.

Above everything else I would say if your going to get an Outlander spend the extra money and get the XLS version.

Cool that sounds great, thanks guys. Anyone tried out the 4x4 w/ 4cyl engine? Curious about feedback on that model.

I had mine for 1 1/2 years and it's been great. Cargo is absolutely great and the rear seat is good for car seats - I have one in mine.Using the Outlander as a family vehicle, cargoand passenger space was high on my listand I'm not disappointed.
The V6 6A/T is a good powertrain; I don't know about the I4, but I wouldn't want an I4 SUV anyway.
My car was flawless so far for reliability.
One thing to be aware off is that you need to protect your car with some mudguards and 3M clear film to prevent some inevitable paint chipping on the bottom of the doors and rear door flares. There are threads dedicated to this topic, but if you have difficulties finding them just ask.

Love my Outlander. If you shop around you will find its the best value for the money, has a great warranty, and just recently received a top crash safety rating from the National Institute of Highway Safety. The cargo area (assuming you don't get the 3rd row seats) should be plenty big to carry the stroller. The fold down tailgate makes it easy to get things in and out of the cargo area. The access in and out of the back(2nd row) seatsis very roomy whichmakes it easy to place the carseat in the back and buckle your child in.My wife and I know this from personal experience with our grandson.
