PHEV owners: Looking for feedback
I have a 2007 Outlander XLS with 155k miles on it, and it has been a pretty reliable car for me over the last nine years. I'm looking to replace it within the next year and am intrigued by the PHEV Outlander. I test-drove one and liked it enough, but don't have much real-world knowledge of how they are to own. I'm looking for owner feedback. How do they perform? What kind of mileage are you getting? How does the AWD perform? Has anything given you problems?
Although I like the Outlander, I probably would only consider the PHEV at this point because there are other CUVs out there that I would rather have than another conventional gas-engine Outlander. Other contenders for my money: Mazda CX-5, RAV4 hybrid, Buick Regal TourX, Volkswagen Golf Alltrack.

I'll be buying used, though, so the PHEV Outlander has been on sale long enough for 1-2 year-old ones to be on the market at a considerable discount off new price.

Used
I bought one brand new last week. Try to find a 2018 still new. Over 6k off from incentives, 5800 back as a tax credit, can't beat that with a stick!
So far I have used no gas to get to and from work, about 8 miles each way and can run an errand or 2 in town with the electricity I have left. I plug into my garage wall outlet and it takes around 8 hrs to charge. It's great, everyone is interested in it and wants to try it out.
Radio is a little muddy sounding, satellite radio works fine and I have a USB stick loaded with over 30 gigs of MP3s plugged into the arm rest USB plug. Really slick. Looking to get a hitch put on somehow.
