interesting! I had same problem days ago. Checked the tire pressure, too high. 38-40. Reduced to below 35 and the symptoms is gone. Read all the posts, that all happened when temperature turns high.
Check your tire pressure!

Tire pressure checked and all was perfect. Noise still persists. Its definitely caliper/disc/brake pad related....its driving me nuts

Noise came back so told the dealer to just go ahead and replace the pads even though there was some life left on the old ones and hey presto the noise is gone along with all the other symptoms. No idea if they did something else they aren't telling me about though

Default Same noise

Hi there. Has anyone ever figured out what this problem could be yet?
i have a 2011 Mitsubishi ASX,
i has the disks skimmed and changed the pads but it’s still making that noise that sounds like springs when breaking gently at slow speeds. It’s very annoying and no one can explained it. But if they remove the calipers and pads and but they back it goes away for a day or two. I also noticed that if I hit bumps in the road it makes a loud clank sound as if somethings loose but if I press the breaks when I go over the bumps there is no noise so it’s definitely related to the breaks.

I have an 18 Outlander and have same issue. I've been told that it's just a noise they make due to the way the brakes are seated. You can change the pads and shoes and it will just start again when they get worn in. Frustrating!

Has anyone made sure that the caliper slide pins have been installed in correct orientation? One pin has a rubber tip that is supposed to prevent noise when brakes are applied. I forget if the rubber tipped one is on top or not, but something to look into.

they looked at it but didn't find anything wrong. Tech said they do it because of the calipers but its normal...

not normal. My 07 has never done it.

you should ask to drive several new trims and see if they all do it.
