Post your 08' MPG
To be honest I think 16 mpg that I get is probably the worst it can get... at least for me
I have XLS model, I have it set to 4x4 Auto, I drive over 60 mph, I accelerate at each intersection quickly... Personally, I thinkthis car is meant to be "manly" driven. I didn't buy it to see how great of gas mileage I can get out of it. For that I would've gotten a hybrid and **** off ever other driver out there with my slow driving in order to save pennies on gas... So, if 16 mpg is the best I can get with my driving so be it... although I'll probably start riding a bus sooner or later. (want to lose a few pounds

Hi Klas!
Nice to see that I get twice as far per gallon by not driving as "manly" (the engine being a diesel may also contribute, of course ...
.
I have an Instyle model (XLS?), have it mostly set to 2WD, try to accelerate smoothly (still without pissing off anyone with slow driving). At my place fuel cost over $8 per gallon, so I'm not saving pennies (15000miles per year saves me $3600 compared to you).
Here is my consumption for the first five fillings:
