Default Price of Tires for 18" XLS Rims

Now that my summer tires are wore to the bar, I need to change these factory tires.
I live in Canada, therefore when using Tirerack, I have to pay $130~ for shipping, which is like buying 5 tires. But all the Canadian places well tires over $180, which also sucks.

For you that change your factory tires, how much did it cost for you??

The best value I looked on Tirerack is the Yoko. Avid TRZ, which is only 120 dollars US. But in Canada, they sell for over 160...excluding out Canadian 13% tax.

Do you live near the border? If so, and you can stand the verbal interigation involved in crossing into the US, then you can pre-order tires over the phone and have them installed at a place in the US near the border.
Then you don't need to pay any Canadian taxes and the tires will cost significantly less.

I'm in Canada as well and I just picked up the Yokoham AVID ENVigor's. They are hard to find right now but are a great tire so far. You can get them for $148.00 or less each at most tire places but you also get the $80.00 mail in rebate with Yoko as well.

Happy hunting

I live in the US and just replaced the OE with Dunlop Signatures in 225/55/R18 with a V rating. Well under 100.00 US for each.

The best tire money can buy for 18" XLS are Assurance ComforTred. Great grip, quite on the road and long thread life. I paid at Discount Auto Tire total of $800 including tax (I should get $40 rebate)

I replaced mine with the Yoko Geolander AT-S. So far it's serves me well, but my mileage take a hit (1-2mpg) since it's an all terrain tire. It cost me $160/each per tire.

Hi there,

It's a good deal. Where did you get those tires?
