Problems with keyless entry Outlander 2009
Hey Guys,
Over the past 2 years I am having issues with my keyless entry system. I have a 2009 Outlander ES which came with the non-fast key. The batteries are fine. I went on two different occasions to my local dealership in the past two years and they were able to reprogram the keys. But when one of my keys lost contact with my car two days ago, my dealership couldn't resolve the issue and they are waiting for a response from Mitsubishi Corporate. When they were trying to reprogram the keys, the second key always kept on losing the programming. Does anyone is having problems with the keyless entry? Where is the keyless entry module located in Outlander 2009? What could be a possible cause of the key fobs losing the programming?

Just a guess, but most likely a bad receiver if it keeps losing its "pairing". They are around $90 from what I found.
But they need to pin point the problem so you're not wasting time and money. We all know how dealers can be. And sometimes their techs are, nicely said, idiots. Especially with "tech" problems. Mechanical, some are great.
If dealer is'nt fixing for free and cant figure out problem, I would go to like a CarToys or whatever car/audio store is near you. They no this stuff like the back of their hand. They might even be able to order the stock part (they are all online) and install for you. Obviously for a cost, but I would rather pay someone who knew what they were doing...
