Default Problems with the rear camera MMIS

Hi to all,

I buy my Outlander on march 2009. Sinds the beginning that I have it, there is a problem with my camerasystem. It's integrated on the MMIS, but more of times it gives me the message "No camera detected". Other times it works perfectly.
In the beginning I thought that it was a loose connection, but the Mitsubishi dealer checked it out. After this check-up, no disconnection, he decided to sold the wire. But after sometime, the problem starts again. And until now.... no camera!
It there someone who has the same problem? I'm living in Belgium and no dealer can give me an answer on it.

Kind regards,

Domi

I am not sure if we have camera options in United States. I never knew that the 2009 outlander as a camera install on the back.

it only work when you do Reverse and the Camera turns on sometimes if you already made the reverse the camera is not on yet.

Probably you already made the reserve before the camera can turn on itself. That's what other car do it will noT turn on when Reserve is already done or not on the reverse gear.

Reverse slow and wait for the camera or put gear on reverse and wait for the camera

try that?

Reverse slow and wait for the camera to turn on? then you will know it is working.

Mash all the buttons at the same time with your palm. Then it will allow you to time travel.

Well its called the MMCS here in the US. Standing for Mitsubishi Multi Communication System. Sounds like you have a connection problem or a tech problem. Either way, warranty will cover it. If you do not have a dealership around you, you need to contact Mitsubishi directly.
