Quick Important Question on TPMS
Hey everyone! I'm about to buy new tires for my Outie, the Yokohama AVID TRZ, anyone have them? How are they?
But the important question is that when I change the tires,
1) The TPMS is with the valve stem right, therefore, removing the stem removes the valve stem, am I correct?
2) Is there a special tool to place back the valve stem (along with TPMS) so it gets to right torque, and doesnt over torque it.
3) After everything is done, do I just need to place back the wheel, and the TPMS activate itself??
Thanks

RE: Quick Important Question on TPMS
They're two types of tpms, one is a metal valve steam w/ a nut on it and the other is on the inside mounted 180* from the valve stem.
There is not special tools to remove them but to "relearn" the sensors you'll need a special tool from the dealer.
Also if you have the tmps that is the valve steam DO NOT remove the core in the valve steam, remove the nut then you can let the air out the tire.

RE: Quick Important Question on TPMS
Ohh, I see. So when letting the air out from the TPMS, do not do that by removing the stem.
Im scare that the guy that are installing the tires mess up my TMPS, and I do not want to bring the tires to the dealer to install and charge me 96 bucks!
I know that there is a torquing tool thats set at 4 lb.feet to torque the valve stem in, so it doesn't over torque and damage the TMPS, just not sure if the Outlander is like that
