Default Radio Goes Crazy

I have a 2016 Outlander SE. For the last 2 years I will be driving and listening to the radio and randomly my screen starts beeping and flashing. Whatever station preset I was on, it will duplicate to another one of my presets and just beep over and over. Lasts about 2 minutes at the most. I did notice that while this is happening, no buttons on my steering wheel work. So it seems to be something on the steering wheel shorting? Or the buttons randomly stick? I clean my steering wheel and the buttons when I clean the interior and wipe it all down. Just not sure if this is a common thing or if something is wrong with my steering wheel wiring.
