Yes,I can confirm that there is only one bulb present in the rear right hand side fog lamp, a 21watt single filament bulb. There is no other bulbholder in this lamp, neither are there any bulbs or holders in the left hand side lower ' lamp';........... the left hand side unit is only for 'decoration' / reflector purposes. i think you will probably find , if you remove one of your units, that the side marker lamp bulbs( possibly 5 watt) are fitted in the smaller of the two locations, i.e, the one nearer the rear wheel on each side.

This is an Outlander with the side lights and both rear fog lights on. It looks great. This effect may be obtained just by re-programming the Outlander OBC and using the same multi-purposes switch in the steering wheel. What is needed is a willing auto electrician that works in a Mitsubishi dealership or in his/her own with a proper electronic devise to re-program the Outlander OBC. I would like to listen from someone that has already tried this approach.

How hard is it to replace the rear fog light? One of mine cracked and I would like to replace it myself but from a cursory look I couldn't figure out how to access it. Do I need to remove the rear bumper?

batman47, some news about your “investigation†to have the rear fog light? I want to try to obtain this function and any aid will be welcome. . .

Sucess, rear fog light intalled in my Out in both rear fog units (right and left), but out the control of the ETACS because there isn't present prewiring/reprogramming path ETACS for this function in Mexico. . .

Another modification when the rear fog light was enable, was to illuminate totally the rear bumper lamp set; now, this unit turn on like as position lights. . .

Hey jsrd, did you buy a new lamp housing, or did you just modify the existing ones in your vehicles.

And also, how did you get your dashboard to show the rear fog light "icon"? Does it have the bulb in place?

rcpax, just modified the existing rear bumper lamp set (left and right)

About rear fog icon illuminated, was used 1 color green LED and 1 resistor to turn on the icon. ON-OFF rear fog, is outside the control of the ETACS because it isn´t option of programming for Mexico

Thanks for the pictures. Very nice mod. Wow, you actually opened the gauge cluster already. Hopefully we get the ETACS code in the US in the future. There's just a lot of great features they offer in Europe that we don't have in the US/MX
