Default RE: Rear Parking Sensors

Your dealer should be able to fit the rear sensors without fuzz. They come standard to luxury versions here in Australia and is an optional accessory for lower spec models. I assume that fitting it to your Outlander wouldn't be a problem because it has basically the same design.

It has its benefits because it gives you an allowance for error especially for backing up.

If you are really keen to have it installed, I would definitely go for OEM insteadof aftermarket. OEM provides an adjustment button for sensors (switch is usually installed beside the ASC button)i.e. you can set sensors sensitivity in case you install tow bar.

It's not on the accessory list in North America, but Idon't thinkthat the wirring in North America is different than the rest of the world.
Exactly...

Though there could be some wiring differences for US, and all non-US models. Just because the US doesnt use all the "options" that most of the world does.

One thing, dont all rear-sensor models also have the rear "fog" light? If so, they could be in the same wiring harness, which US models might not have...

A couple of problems, looks like I can not order the part from a dealer in North America, And I can't see the connectors for the sensors on the rear bumber wirring harness, so it sounds like I will not be getting it. Even if I could have ordered it, it would probably have been way expensive, based on the price that someone quotedFrom EU.

One thing that I have learned today, as that up until now MMC Canada reported into MMC US. Apparently that has changed a few weeks ago, and now MMC Canada is directly under MMC Japan. That could mean that we will see more differences between what's offered in US vsv Canada.

I have fitted a set of these to mine, they are excellect and easy to fit, whole job tok about 45 minutes, removing and replacing the rear Rockford speaker in order to connect to reverse lamp wiring took up most of the time. Dont know if seller will ship over pond but carriage should not be too expensive as the box is not heavy. Seller is ncooksecurity

Only the 2012 GT will have the parking sensor, rear sensor harness + the sonar switch + the sonar switch connector.

Early models do not have any rear sensor harness!!
