Smile Rear light right not working but break light is ok

I had similar problem with rear light. I found out that right rear light is linked with glove box lamp and left one with licence plate light. When I change left and right light the problem remain. I checked the voltage between black line and light green (rear light) I got 6V stable (if lights were on or off) and during the break light showed 12 V. I discovered that the lamp in glove box is broken. I bought is new (1.2 W) for 0,70 EUR. After the replacment light was ok and had 12 V when is on and 0 V when was off. Problem resolved.
When I asked the workshop I got no idea about the problem, they just said that problem can be linked with electricity for the trailer. In my case I have no trailer instalation.

Thank you for this! I have a ASX, with the exact same problem. Driver side taillight blinked a sec, and stopped working, but brake lights worked. Initially brought my car to replace the led set ($80), realized it wasn't the issue when I plugged the new one in. While checking all lights, in case it was a wiring issue, I remembered this post, mentioning the 'small orange(ember)' light not working. True enough, I had the same problem at the driver's side front parking light. Changed the front 'small orange(ember) E6 bulb, (60cents !!!!!!) and bam! the rear taillight came back on.
Really thank you for this!

Default soluzione

I fixed it by replacing the license plate light bulbs and the glove box light bulb.

I just bought a 2011 Outlander. The tail light on the rear passenger side was not working as it should and was only burning gently. When I pressed the brake, the LEDs all lit up beautifully. The voltage at the contact was only 7V. The other (driver's side) plug has 12V. I swapped the lights and the light delivered as needed. The rear number lights were fine. There are no bulbs in the glove box on this machine. However, the first cab light, which was also on the side of the passenger, did not work. Its bulb was burned out, and after changing it, the taillight also started working beautifully.

Default Partially solved

Thanks Mitsi forum. L/H front and rear parking lights weren't turning on. Also noticed plate lights were gone after reading this forum. Replaced plate lights and now the rear park lights work. Someone else suggested the glove box light, which needed replacing. However, that did not do the trick for the front park lights. It does seem like an electrics issue because as I was messing about with fuses/relays etc the front left park light did come on for a bit. But then next time I tried it was off again.
Thanks for the help legends.

Interestingly right license plate, glove compartment and tail light all were not working.

Replaced license plate lights (both) and glove compartment with (74) bulb. But tail light RH is still not working along with the brake.
