Return of the FAN!!!
Low and behold! I took the Outlander to my dealer and the fan ran and ran as it had been after turning off the ignition.
Although it had been doing this a month, when I took it in the frist time complaining.... it didn't do it's thing. Nope. Quiet. The reps acted as though I was speaking Greek.
Second time, I lifted the hood as it was running and the rep said, 'Oh yeah, this has happened before on these'.
Uh huh. Same problem. Different Song.
They had to order the unit that controls the fan. The rep suspects that since it's right next to the radiator that the extreme heat damages the unit.
Said it was a 10 minute job when the part comes in.
Thank God for warranties.
