Rockford Fosgate AMP Outlander 2007
I cure "waiting"quckly by pressing desired channel again. Or use "seek up/down". That's all. "Wait" disappear, I hear selected station.

The dealer thinks he has found the solution. The roof is Aluminium. Thats why the earthing of the antenna is unsufficient. Next week they will install an extra earthing to the antenna. I'll keep you informed.
But aluminium is a better electrictal conductor than steel. Its even used for power distribution transmission lines.
Unless the problem is that it is glued to the steel body. I don't know that it is but if so then that may be it.

Well I don't know how the dealers in other cities/countries are, but I can go to two different Mitsubishi dealers in my city and both of them don't know anything about Mitsubishi, so unless it's a Mitsubishi approved solution I wouldn't even bother. Maybe an antenna amplifier? I had a Golf IV with the same problem a few years back and that did the trick.
The dealer soldered an earthing cable on the foot of the antenna and connected it to the earth of the rear light.
The reception on FM-radio is much, much better now! I'm happy with it. Also the "waiting" issue is less annoying, but still there. According to themechanic this "waiting-thing" is a software bug, which has to be solved bij Mitsu still.
