I got them off the dealership when I got my car. then I realize they only use aftermarket cross bars and sell them in Mitsubishi name.
I forgot what the name of the bars are call.
just to warn you that cross bars will produce wind noise over around 90 km/h (for me at least)

I got the Thule 450, I got it mainly because I already had the bars, so all I needed were the feet. So far I like it, I find that it's quiet enough for me that I can leave it on all the time, I added some bike carriers and it's a bit noisier with them but still within my tolerance level. The other things I like about the system, is that because ofthe square bars, you have a large selection of accessories, and also that you can fit wider bars if you need to get more stuff on the rack.I have the standard bars to fit the Outlander, and I have managed to fit 2 bikes and one box on it at the same time, butit's very tight.

I ordered a roof rack for my 2008 Outlander from autopartspeople.com and received one (yes only one) aero crossbar that is for a 2004 Endeavor. It is really nice and will fit the front of the Outlander roof rack rails, but is a little long for the rear. However, it can be cut to any width and reassembled. The other problem is that the mounting brackets on the ends will have to be modified, or the rack rails will have to be modified to accept them.

The good thing is that these go for about $40 each and, when modified, will fit the Outie roof rack rails without hanging over. Has anyone had any experience with modifying these aero crossbars? I will probably order a second one so that I can have a set. It will take me a while to figure out how to modify them for installation, so I am hoping that someone else has already done it.

Great forum, thanks for the Outie tips!
