8-10 years might be a little long but, but around here, rust is still a big thing, cars are covered in salt 4 months out of the year, it's nto rare to see a 5-6 year old care with visible rust on it. It's not really the flat surfaces that are a problem, it's usually where you have joints or crease, place you can't even see, i.e the base of the doors, the inside of the hood. These are all places where the perfect mix of salt and water collect and assoon as you have any kind of break in the paint, the problem starts.

the worst spot of rust comes though the rear wheel archs in most cars in the UK. I always wash out all my wheel arches when cleaning the car. Bottoms of all doors rust as well in cars a round 7 to 10 years in the UK.

My mate always put a cap fullof engine oil in the bottomdoors once a year to stop rust.

I always try and keep the car clean and if its warm give a wax, but I have been givena box of supaguard waxcoating it should last 3 years so no more waxing but I am not sure it well last that long. anybody else come a cross this stuff it only cost £12 a lot cheaper then my dealer wanted £198

Hey Roach,

I am in Aylmer. Where did you get the undercoating done? How much was it? By any chance, does it reduce road noise?

Thanks!
Dan
