Default Steering wheel controls

Hi. I'm coming from a family of 4 Mitsubishis, mine being a 2004 Endeavor. Looking to maybe trade to a 2011 Outlander Sport. Two questions: 1. anyone know if the controls on the steering wheel are illuminated? 2. I hate the location of the seat heater switches. Is it a major job to have them relocated to the dash or center console? Thanks for any input.

On my 08 Outlander the steering wheel controls light up red when the headlights are turned on. I'm pretty sure it's standard on any vehicle that the controls are illuminated when the lights are turned on.

Hellcat, the controls on the steering whell are illuminated when you turn your lights on. As to your second question, I have no idea. I do not have the heated seat option in my Outie Sport.
