Default Steering Wheel Controls

Hi!
I just bought a 2007 Outlander, love it, but the steering wheel radio controls are all worn out. They work perfectly but look terrible. It has the rockford fosgate radio without navigation. I found the radio switch online ($17), but that is as far as I have gone, no videos or references. Can anybody please give me any advice on how to replace them/disassemble the steering wheel?
Thanks beforehand

here are some the instructions from a Chinese Forum (xcar):

How it look like originally:

Step 1, turn it to the right:

Step 2 screws (left first, then the one in the middle)

Step 3 take the cover out, note the place of the plug (noted by blue font)

Step 4 you will find a red plug there (not really a step, but you know what I mean)

a closer look:

Step 5 find the part (this should be the first step ><)

Step 6 keep us updated ^^
