Default pulled bt

i pulled the bluetooth module from my 2010 Outlander XLS. it can stream music from a phone according to the manual, but probably requires a compatible stereo, such as the standard stereo included with the car, or the MMCS.

attached it the photo. sorry, too lazy to photograph it with a good camera. let me know if you need better details.

I am getting so many conflicting answers. I wish there was information on mitsubishi website about these questions.

your car doesn't have the bluetooth installed. it's only pre-wired for it. my car has it, because it's an XLS (check Instrumentation section here: http://www.mitsubishicars.com/MMNA/j...nstrumentation).

according to the manual and the website the FUSE system streams bluetooth music to the stereo (click on FUSE here: http://www.mitsubishicars.com/MMNA/j.../?page=comfort). i think it's new to the 2010 model, so 2007-09 owners might not be familiar with it.

let me know if you have any more questions, i'll try to help.

Thanks for the clarification.

has anyone had the Fuse system installed after purchase and how well does it work with the iphone? I am also looking at the Parrot bluetooth product which has very similar features to the fuse, but at a much cheaper price. Anyone have this installed?

link to the parrot website.

Thanks everyone. I went to the dealership and it's going to cost me about $350 including installation for the bluetooth to be installed. It's annoying that they built my car with all the features except for the actual bluetooth! . .I feel more comfortable buying from the dealer in case I have complaints later on. I'll see how this goes! :-)
