Timing Belt kit/ advice
The car had ~140K miles and I had replaced the belt at 106K, but I didn't know the trick with the tensioner at first and so I probably damaged the belt when trying to get it on. I had replaced the water pump at the same time.
What is the trick with the tensioner you ask?
When installing the belt remove the top bolt from the tensioner (after you compress it carefully and put a pin in it) and rotate the tensioner counter-clockwise. This lets the tension pulley drop down and gives you enough room to install the belt. After the belt is installed rotate the tensioner back in place the put in the bolts.
