So I'm new to towing. I have a 2018 Outlander. Towing capacity is 1500lbs. I have my eye set on buying this 2007 seadoo speedster to take me and my little family out on the lake. It weighs 1450lbs plus probably around 300lb or 400lbs for the trailer. I just want to make sure I'm not missing something here... I'm basically screwed, right? No way my little Outlander will be able to pull this to and from the lake without killing my vehicle.

Has anyone ever towed something over the capacity and succeeded?

I really hate when my dreams get crushed.
