TURN ON FOG LIGHTS W/OUT HEADLIGHTS?
Hello all:
Anyone modified their foglight switch so that they can be turned on without having to turn on your headlight first? Seems like it could be a relatively simply fix as long as you know which wires to mess with.
I'm planning to put some yellow 9006 bulbs down there. I think it would look quite sharp instead of the regular boring white bulbs.

Or if you want to put a switch inside just hook them to the battery, lol just make sure you turn them off before you get off the car so as not to run down your battery. I can remember if they are a three or two wire hook, if so one of them will need to be grounded, to find the color code of wire colors, you can try searching online but I believe the manual will tell you, correct me if I am wrong though.
I had a Honda Civic years ago and hooked the aftermarket fogs to the battery. Very easy to forget that they are on after turning off the engine (despite having a light on the lever switch).
But you can turn on your fog lights when only your parking lights are lit (at least I can with my european-spec outlander 2004)... does it work like that for all versions? it seems the safest solution to avoid running down your battery after parking

....and they likely turn off when you turn on your high beams too. I got my aftermarket fogs that go on and off whenever I want them too...lol. Thats the bad thing about the factory fog lights- had the same problem on my Trailblazer. Now I buy aftermarkets and I'm always satisfied and save $150
