How do I unlock my shift lever to put the transmission in neutral when the key is not in the ignition. 2003 outlander 2.4 l.

 

I don't beleive that you can-part of the anti-theft feature?

 

I think it's explained in the user manual that goes in the glove box of the car.

There's a round sticker covering that interlock next to the gear shift - peel off the sticker and use a flathead to turn the interlock.

I've never done it before, just going by what I remembered when I was skimming the manual.
