I was thinking something more along the lines of putting a single recessed LED into the driver's door handle area, and try to angle it to shine out onto the buttons. I haven't really looked into other good spots to hide recessed lights, but I'm sure there are probably a few good places to put it.

The UV lighting would probably freak me out too much when I saw my shoelaces and passengers' teeth glowing too. You might as well consider putting small strips of glow in the dark material on the switches.

Let me know about the switches. I will also look into the LED lights. Thanks.

I purchased lights very similar to the ones attached in the link. My purpose is to drill a small hole just below the pop out cup holder on the interior closest to the door jamb for installation. If they produce too much light I plan on trying either electrical tape precisely cut and placed on the light to direct the light path or using black paint to achieve the same result.

Hello everybody, look at this link which I found on a German side. Unfortunately the guy did choose blue lighting but further it is just fine. Job well done. Hope you understand German. He drilled some holes, hot-glued in the LED and connected it.

Thanks for sharing the idea. The led is throwing a little too much light at the side door panel. BUT a little touch up of black paint on the LED will tone it down a bit. I like the concept.

Like the idea and the implementation is well done. I have to agree that too much light is thrown.
