Vibration
2008 Mitsubishi Outlander XLS, 88,000 km
Recently, with two different sets of wheels and rims, I get some vibration through the steering wheel and it almost feels like the steering wheel wobbles ONLY during hard acceleration and for about a minute afterwards. It tapers off and disappears. It happens mostly between 110-120km/h(70-75mph). I originally thought it was a balance problem but after having the wheels balanced numerous times and trying two different sets, I can cruise anywhere between 110-120km and it's smooth as glass.
If I gradually accelerate to highway speeds the vibration is much less, sometimes not noticeable at all. I think it's a suspension or mount problem. Any ideas what to look for?
