Default Where to hookup electrical wires

Just bought an aftermarket stereo/nav to install into my 09 Outlander. I also bought the METRA AXXESS ASWC UNIVERSAL STEERING WHEEL CONTROL and a Pioneer GEX-P920-XM so that I can have XM radio through the head unit.

I have installed aftermarket radios before but no other additional pieces where I need power. So I can solder the harness I am just unsure where I should wire the power wires for the above pieces.

The steering wheel control needs to be connected to a non continuous power supply so I figure I can just splice it into the power wire on the harness but any other options would be great.

The XM unit needs to be wired to a continuous power supply, I guess so that it can store your presets, that's just what the installation guide says. Any idea where I should wire this?

Also, where has everyone been putting the grounding wires?

Thanks!

Well looks like I have found an answer to my question.

I can just use these http://www.posi-lock.com/posiplug.html

to tap into the switched and constant power wires on the head unit's wire harness...

Still wondering where people have grounded wire on the Outie...could I just tap into the ground wire on the harness?

I grounded behind the drivers kick panel.

Took the panel off, scrapped off a small spot of paint, and grounded it using a star washer.
