Default Wireless bluetooth does not terminate when car turned off and vechile is exited

I have a 2023 Mitubishi Outlander and I am using wireless bluetooth and Apple CarPlay

When pairing my phone, the vehicle creates a wireless hotspot ( CarPlay_nnnn ) and connects to my phone for Apple CarpPlay operations, which works very well.

After turning the car off and exiting the vehicle, the Outlander's wireless hotspot and bluetooth connection does not terminate for at least five minute, maybe longer. If I am on a call when exiting the vehicle, the call does not transfer to my phone. I literally have turn off WiFi and bluetooth to break the connection or toggle to flight mode and back again on the phone.

If I am in the house and still within range of the vehicle, I do not get call and message notifications on my phone because it is still connected to the vehicle. I have not been able to find any setting that terminates the wireless connection after the car is turned off.

Is there any advice on how this is addressed.

I guess the car is still on the warranty?

Go to authorized mitsu workshop/dealer and ask them to upgrade software/firmware on BT (bluetooth) and/or MMCS modules. I do not know if Mitsu is still doing that stupid design when BT module is a separate unit from the stereo/MMCS or not. In my Outlander 2013 I've ripped off BT module together with stereo and installed a nice 3rd party unit with flawlessly working BT service for years now... Many people install Android heads.

Mitsu has very poor SW/FW quality of BT, MMCS units as well as ETACS firmware.
