Default Won't start after injector seal change

Hi All,

Yesterday I fitted new injector seals to my 2013 4N14 equipped Outlander. I'm now can't get it to start. It's cranking but seems to either have an air lock, or some other issue with the fuel system.

I've undone the hard pipes from the injectors and there is fuel present (though not a great amount is coming out - but I don't know how much should come out).

This is my first diesel car, so I'm at a bit of a loss. Is there a secret to getting it all bled? I've attached my diagnostic tool and I'm seeing 30-40 Bar on the common rail pressure sensor if that helps.

Thanks for any pointers!

Anyone?

I'm definitely not getting anywhere near the commanded rail pressure. Tool shows that the ECU is asking for 40 MPa (400 Bar) and my pressure reading is 2-6 MPa (20-60 Bar) during cranking.

I've slackened the banjo on the inlet to the HP pump and there is fuel pouring out when the LP system primes at the first key position, so I think the issue must lie with the high pressure pump? I've removed the hard pipes from the pump and during cranking the fuel is sort of glugging out - that doesn't really seem right?

I'm getting a bit desperate so any help gratefully received.
