I am looking for advice on a 2001 Montero turbo conversion project. Has anyone heard of this being done, and if so, where/how do I get started???

 

Try setting up a remote Turbo System. You can use the stock headers that way and you wont have to worry about an intercooler. You will need an external oil pump and oil lines. If you have a 6G72 3.0L then you can use the 3000GT ECU to read boost if you dont want to go stand alone. I'm also planning on building a 97 Tero Turbo with this setup but I am also researching DOHC head swap and 3000GT bottom end internals. Good luck and keep my posted.
