2005 Colt 1.1i - Rear Drum Brakes Repair
Hello everyone,
a while ago got a squeezing noise from the rear drum brakes, so did rebuild them. If someone is interested in detail how it went, the video is below.
The problems were:
- Broken holder bolts in both of the brake cylinders, they were replaced.
- Twisted and destroyed brake pipes. Sorted out without OEM parts through copper pipes 0,7 mm wall thickness.
- Assembly of the drum brakes itself - the adjustment system, but it was also sorted and the way it went is in the video, if someone needs/wants to do that.
The car went through MOT check and did pass, even though with 20prc. less braking power on the right side. Maybe more bleeding is necessary.
The video:
Might help someone
Have a great day
