2013 Outlander GT
Hello all, just picked up my new Outlander and figured Id introduce myself.
Im an engineer by trade; work in a mostly mechanical area. My education is in Mechatronics engineering so I have knowledge in mechanical, electrical, controls, and programming. In the past ive only owned trucks as ive been involved in tons of activities that require towing capacity. I have a trailered sailboat, vintage race motorcycles, and im currently building a sub 1500# motorcycle powered LMS styled car from scratch.
I see theres not much aftermarket support for these vehicles so more than likely ill be designing my own header-back exhaust at a minimum. I have experience with composites so theres also the possibility of a few trick carbon pieces. NOT for retail though.... I value my time! lol
Anyway, my particular ride is a white 2013 Outlander GT S-AWD. I believe its loaded with pretty much all the options including the touring package, navigation, backup cam, leather, LED, cargo package, etc. It didnt have the towing package but I negotiated it in the price and have to go get it installed sometime after the new year. For those curious of the going price I was at just over $31k without finance incentives, best I could get them to go. I believe sticker was just over $35k.
I dont really like the stock 18" wheels so ive already ordered some replacement black multi-spoke lightweight wheels, will post pics once I get them mounted up on the stock tires.
