Default Having the same issues in my car

Iv been following this thread because i am having the same issue. My rpms will start to drop to 200/300 and then rises to 800/900 and continue to do it while in D. Then when i shift to neutral same thing, i go to park it tries to go back to normal the. Starts the same thing all over again. The AC was on, and when i turned it off, it didint make a difference. I turned it off and turned it back on and it went back to normal. Then i drove a little bit and the same issue continued. It drives fine, just starts to go crazy when in idle. Later that night i turned it on and it was fine, i go down the street and again it starts with the problem, i drive it back home, and put it in park and it did it for about 30 seconds then it went back to normal. After this little episode it hasnt done it, again. My father cleaned the MAF sensor, lets see if it makes a difference. I have changed a dying battery so far as i seen it helped another member, but it did it before and it did it after the change. Just bought the car with 73k miles other than this issue it hasnt done anything else weird, anybody have any solutions or experience with this car and problem? Would love to post a video, but thread wont let me, please extend the file size allowance to allow for a video of problem.

Try using throttle body cleaner on the throttle butterfly. When the battery goes faulty the throttle sensor seems to lose its position, and combined with a sticky butterfly it causes this same fault. It is quite common on most mitsubishi cars with the 4B or 4J motors.

Fixed my issue ... Two things we did and or noticed .... we cleaned out the throttle body wasn't very dirty but we cleaned it out anyway . Another thing was the pully on my ac seemed to be sticking a bit so we sprayed a bit of wd-40 on it and the problem stopped .. weird but it worked .. hope you figure it out.. best of luck

Hi folks,
Y'all are awesome for sharing so much on this topic. I have a 2013 Outtie V6 (140k kms), been having an issue with RPMs surging high up to 2000 when I turn on the AC when in drive and stopped at a light. Had some other issues and recently had all sparks replaced and throttle body and fuel injectors cleaned. After i left the mechanic that day the car turned into a jet rocket and almost flew away when I turned the AC on while stopped at a light. It was surging the RPM before I had this work done but it did take the computer some time to recalibrate after the throttle clean. After a month it's back to the normal 2000 surge. I'm heading into get the timing belt etc done soon and will ask them to test the battery since I don't know when it was last changed, however I do suspect it could be battery based on these comments AND the fact that occasionally on start OR while driving my Bluetooth will beep and disconnect and the other day I noticed that my headlights flash high when this happens (seems like an electrical surge). I will give an update after I have the battery looked at.
