Default 95 Montero SR Draining Battery Won't Start

Does anyone have any ideas on why my Montero will not start? I was at the store today turned car off, went in, and came back out and nothing. I turned the key the lights on the dash came on but were very dim. It did not even click. A few relays did click but the starter did not turn. I had a few problems with the radio and the air conditioner and blower **** lights on the instrument panel. They both will sometimes go out. I will have to tap or beat (depending on mood)on the center console to get it to work again, and the speakers would make a loud pop sound. My husband did take the starter apart once we got the vehicle towed home and it seemed to be working correctly. He was able to get it to kick over using a battery.
CAN ANYONE HELP? I AM PRESSED FOR TIME HERE ONLY WORKING VEHICLE
