I got this atf level mystery hounding me for quite a while now. With engine cold the level is a little bit above the hot level but after running the engine to operating temp and checking the level again it is below the cold mark??????

it is completely the other way around as i expected it. Any ideas to solve this mystery?

everything runs fine no problem shifting.. no leaks no burnt smell or bubbles or foaming..
really?????? Mind boggling
